Changes to Scottish Enterprise Industries leadership team

Scottish Enterprise announced today (22^nd June 2009) that it had made a number of changes to its industry leadership team as part of the integration of ITI Scotland within SE's wider operations.

The changes will see the work of the existing ITI and Scottish Enterprise industry teams combined to ensure SE can deliver a streamlined and joined up approach to supporting growth within Scotland’s key sectors. 

The changes are:

• Terry Hurley is appointed Senior Director - Tech Media, focused on supporting growth within Scotland's creative and digital industries along with a range of enabling technologies.
• Rhona Allison will become Senior Director of Life Sciences for Scottish Enterprise and will assume responsibility for current ITI Life Sciences activity.
• Adrian Gillespie will lead an enlarged Energy and Clean Technology team, reflecting the growing importance of renewable and clean technology for Scotland’s energy sector.   Adrian currently oversees Scottish Enterprise's digital media and emerging technologies industry team.

Scottish Enterprise announced earlier this year that it was integrating the work of ITI Scotland with its wider operations.  The integration will form part of a new commercialisation approach that will help to exploit Scotland’s academic capabilities to create more and support existing high growth technology companies.

The appointment of the new leadership team is the latest stage of the integration process, which is expected to be complete by October 2009.
