Dyynateq breaks European market with new building product

Paisley based building technology specialist Dyynateq Ltd is expanding into Europe with a new distribution deal for their next generation of composite building materials.

Formerly known as GRP Ltd, the company’s deal with Euroform Products Ltd (part of SIG) opens up 600 new outlets around the continent for their revolutionary new product, Dyynamix®. The material is extremely hard wearing, much lighter, more cost effective and easier and safer to handle than traditional stone and the patented system could save construction companies as much as £1500 per house built.

The Dyynamix® product is used as an alternative for stone window sills, decorative heads and other stone features.

“Material wastage through breakage of sills and decorative stonework and the time it takes to replace them is a huge cost in time and money to construction companies. “It's hardwearing qualities means Dyynamix® completely eliminates these costs resulting in significant productivity savings on site,” explains the Dyynateq Group General Manager, Mr John Webster.

Supported by Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Dyynateq is building a strong reputation for research and development. The company recently beat off strong competition from global audio specialists, Linn Products, to take top spot in the innovation and technology category at the Renfrewshire Business Awards, ROCCO 2007.

RBS has supported Dyynateq for the past 10 years and recently increased its funding to help the firm’s expansion into the European market.

Dyynateq has created ten new senior jobs during the development of Dyynamix® and is confident that it will lead to further expansion once it becomes an established industry product.

“Although we have been on a big growth curve for some time this product has the potential to take Dyynateq to a completely new level,” he said. “Composite materials are more durable than natural materials, require less maintenance. Their lightweight construction makes them easier to work with and that is a huge plus from a health and safety point of view. We are confident that this latest edition to our product range will revolutionise the way builders view the use of stone features.”

The new distribution deal and the addition of two new manufacturing locations recently will allow the company to significantly increase capacity.

Craig Wilson, regional director of Commercial Banking for RBS in Paisley, said: “Dyynateq is an extremely innovative Scottish manufacturer and a business we’re proud to be working alongside as it targets continued success and growth. The company has developed a product that looks set to take the industry by storm – not just here but abroad – and I’m very much looking forward to tracking progress as they move into Europe.”
