Fife business services to achieve growth and profitability
Kicking off with an event titled, 'Instilling a Winning Culture', the series of workshops are being delivered by Scottish Enterprise to help equip business services companies with the tools and knowledge to operate more profitably in their current and prospective marketplaces.
As well as featuring high-profile speakers from the business world, the launch event at Balbirnie House on 7 February 2008, will showcase local business success stories, including Curtis Fine Papers.
The launch event has a superb line up of keynote speakers each bringing their own unique style to an event that is designed to stimulate and energise the business leaders in Fife to ensure that their business remains competitive.
Business services is the UK's fastest growing sector in the economy with employment having doubled since 1995. It has grown substantially in Scotland with 40 per cent output growth since 2000.
Addressing the Fife business community at the launch will be Peter Nosler, founder and CEO of San Francisco based DPR Inc. one of the fastest growing companies in the USA. Peter will outline how he has built the company from scratch in 1990 to a company with a $2 billion turnover and 2,200 employees, the challenges he has faced, the strategy he developed, the successes he had and failures he experienced.
Joining Peter will be John Leach, an inspirational speaker and the author of Pitch Perfect, a dynamic and interactive business approach and Colin Burns, former Head of Studio for IDEO, one of the world's leading innovation companies responsible for the creation of the first Apple mouse, the Palm V computer and Polaroid camera.
The forthcoming events are being hailed as 'must attend' for all ambitious executives in Fife who wish to expand and grow their business by harnessing the intellect of their people.
