First Minister opens Tennent Caledonian Breweries' £4m bottling line facility

Scottish Enterprise account managed company, Tennent Caledonian Breweries, is today welcoming Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond to officially open its new £4 million bottling line facility in Glasgow.

The opening of the bottling line sees the continuation of the renaissance at Wellpark and the creation of over 50 new jobs, both at the bottling line and in other areas, along with the revival of the company’s global export programme.

Scottish Enterprise's company growth director, Linda Hanna, accompanied Mr Salmond during his visit to Wellpark in Glasgow.

She said: "Tennent Caledonian Breweries is another great example of an ambitious Scottish company we are working with and have helped deliver improvements and efficiencies with the support of our Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service. Our international arm, Scottish Development International, will also support the company as it further develops its export strategy. Today is a key milestone for Tennents Caledonian Breweries and we wish the team every success as they continue to grow their presence in Scotland."
