Just Transition Commission report welcomed and will inform wider work of Scottish Enterprise
Head of low carbon transition Andy McDonald welcomed today's Just Transition Commission report and said the transition to a fair and just net zero economy lies at the heart of Scottish Enterprise’s purpose:
“The transition to a fair and just net zero economy lies at the heart of Scottish Enterprise’s purpose as we work alongside local, regional and national partners to help build a fair, green and prosperous Scotland.
“I welcome the work of the Just Transition Commission and the publication of their final recommendations to Ministers as the findings will inform our new net zero framework. We recently launched a £4 million green jobs call as one of many initiatives that heralds Scottish Enterprise’s commitment to a green, fair economic recovery and ultimately one that ensures a just transition to a future economy that is good for people and the planet.”
