Lanarkshire business excellence award winners announced

Eleven Lanarkshire companies are celebrating their success after being voted the best in the region by a panel of judges

The winners of the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards, hosted by Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire in partnership with North and South Lanarkshire Councils and with main sponsor Coffee Express, were announced at a gala ceremony in Motherwell Concert Hall last week.

TV personality Lorraine Kelly added a touch of glamour to the evening and presented the winning companies with their prizes. Guests were also entertained by after dinner speaker, Charan Gill.

There was fierce competition in the eleven categories. Liz Connolly, senior director operations, Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire, said: "The volume and quality of this year’s finalists and winners is an illustration of the excellent strides that are being made in Lanarkshire to develop the area as an excellent location to do business.

"The Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards was a real celebration for everyone who works so hard to bring business, jobs and wealth to Lanarkshire.”

Simon Chiswell, chief executive of main sponsor Coffee Express said:

"We are proud to have been involved with this prestigious event as main sponsor and extend our congratulations to all the winners. The Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards is a perfect showcase to recognise and reward business excellence in this thriving area of Scotland.”
