Scottish Enterprise announces £7.6m RSA jobs boost
Scottish Enterprise made over 20 Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) awards, totalling £7.6 million, in the last quarter of 2011-12.
These were for a total of 23 projects involving planned investment of over £95 million, which are expected to create and safeguard 767 jobs.
Of these offers 12, of almost £5 million were towards manufacturing activities and accounted for 500 of the planned jobs. The largest award was £1.7million to Chesapeake Ltd which will create and safeguard over 110 jobs at its packaging operations in East Kilbride.
Chief executive of Scottish Enterprise, Lena Wilson, said:

“Regional Selective Assistance is a key way in which we are supporting companies looking to invest in their operations here – whether they are an indigenous Scottish company or an inward investor.
