Scottish Enterprise backs global ambition with second US MarketBooster Programme
Scottish Enterprise is launching the next phase of its successful US MarketBooster programme, supporting innovative science and tech companies to enter and scale in the world’s largest market for technology products and services.
The initiative is designed to help Scottish businesses unlock commercial opportunities in the United States through strategic guidance, expert mentoring, and in-market immersion in Silicon Valley.
Six new companies have been selected to take part, building on the success of the pilot cohort, which delivered significant impact - forecasting £23.4 million in new sales over the next three years and the creation of more than 60 new jobs as a direct result of their engagement with the US market during the pilot.
The programme is part of a mission-based aim by Scottish Enterprise to double the number of scaling companies in Scotland over the next decade. Rather than offering direct funding, the programme provides tailored, wraparound support to help businesses navigate the complexities of entering and expanding in the US.
Participants benefit from strategic input from US-based experts, personalised mentoring from industry leaders, and help with investor readiness, regulatory compliance, and business development. The programme also facilitates valuable connections with potential partners, customers, and investors.
A key feature of the initiative is time spent in Silicon Valley, where participating companies gain first-hand exposure to one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems. This in-market experience is designed to build confidence, sharpen commercial strategies, and open doors to new networks and opportunities.
The Scottish companies selected for this cohort are Glitchers, Neuranics, Fanbase, ESG360, EPass and Halodrive. Each of these companies is innovating, setting new standards and crucially, have huge ambitions to grow.
The aim is for these companies is to build the strategy, data and skills to compete for customers and investment in the US market, reaching revenue six to twelve months faster than companies entering without this support.
Reuben Aitken, Managing Director International, Scottish Enterprise, said: “The second group of companies joining our US MarketBooster programme reflect the ambition and innovation we see across Scotland’s tech and science sectors. This is about helping businesses grow faster and with greater confidence as they enter one of the world’s most competitive markets.
“By combining targeted support at home with immersion in the US ecosystem, we’re equipping these companies with the tools, insights and connections they need to scale internationally.
“This programme is not about grants, it’s about unlocking growth through expert advice, strategic guidance and powerful networks. That’s what makes the difference.”
Ross Gray, CEO of Cloudsoft, who joined the pilot programme earlier this year, added: “Being a part of the US MarketBooster programme gave us invaluable focus and momentum - it clarified our value proposition, boosted our sales pipeline, secured the business an excellent strategic advisor, and led directly to us winning an ideal customer.
“With Scottish Enterprise’s wider support, we also accessed key industry events for networking and continuing to drive growth. The US MarketBooster programme was a really valuable experience for us at Cloudsoft and is a great opportunity for Scottish firms targeting the US market.”
