Scottish Enterprise Chief Executive welcomes ScotWind leasing round results

Scottish Enterprise Chief Executive Adrian Gillespie welcomes the news of the 17 successful ScotWind projects and looks forward to working with developers and industry partners to maximise the benefits for Scotland's net zero economy.

Scottish Enterprise Chief Executive Adrian Gillespie said: “With £700 million investment, potential power capacity of 25GW and developers of 17 projects committing to invest what could be worth billions for the Scottish supply chain this is massive news for Scotland’s net zero economy and energy transition picture.

“The ScotWind projects provide opportunities across Scotland for communities, infrastructure and businesses and will create jobs as well as provide international export potential in areas such as green hydrogen.

“Scottish Enterprise looks forward to working with developers and industry partners to maximise the benefits of the projects and position Scotland as a global leader in offshore wind.”
