Scottish Enterprise welcomes updated Economic Recovery Plan

The Scottish Government has today published an updated version of its Economic Recovery Plan (ERP) which sets out its priorities for the coming year.

Commenting on the news, Lena Wilson, chief executive of Scottish Enterprise, said:

“The updated Economic Recovery Plan provides a blueprint for how agencies across the public sector can work together to help accelerate economic recovery and achieve long term growth for Scotland.

"We particularly welcome the plan's focus on innovation, commercialisation and developing a more internationally focused economy.  These are areas where we are stepping up our own efforts to help companies address the challenges they are currently facing and respond to new emerging opportunities to grow their business."

The Scottish Government launched its Economic Recovery Plan during a visit to the Edinburgh Festivals, to find out more about the new Edinburgh Festivals Passport - one of four projects announced today that have benefited from Scottish Enterprise’s Tourism Innovation Fund. The Fund is part of Scottish Enterprise's drive to increase innovation within the tourism sector by developing new ideas that will encourage visitor spending, improve products or introduce new products or processes.
