SDI welcomes rise in manufactured exports

David Smith, interim chief executive of Scottish Development International, welcomes the news of the recent rise in manufactured exports:

“The Q4 increase is very encouraging, as increasing exports will be vital to help Scotland emerge from the recession and improve our overall competitiveness.

“Scottish Development International has given substantive support to around 1000 Scottish companies overseas during the last year. We’re also working in partnership with organisations across the public and private sectors to increase the support available for Scottish companies looking to export in the coming year.”
