SE welcomes milestone in V&A development

Scottish Enterprise today welcomed progress in the V&A Museum of Design in Dundee.

The museum will be located at the heart of Dundee’s wider £1 billion Waterfront regeneration project, where an estimated 4,800 FTE jobs will be created as a result of the development of the Central Waterfront area.

Dundee City Council today published a report which outlines a fixed price construction tender and proposed funding arrangement for the landmark project which will create hundreds of jobs and inject millions of pounds into the economy.

Mick McHugh, regional director at Scottish Enterprise said: “This is a nationally important project and vital to the transformation of Dundee’s economy. There’s been a significant amount of work involved in getting to this key milestone and we are committed to working closely with our partners to get construction underway to deliver this centre piece of the Dundee Waterfront.”
