Start-up show being held in Tayside
An event to help people take their first steps towards setting up in business for themselves is being staged in Dundee this month by Business Gateway.
The Start-Up Event takes place on Thursday, March 20, at Business Gateway's new premises in the city at Unit 28 City Quay. It will run from 12.30pm to 8pm to give as many budding entrepreneurs as possible the opportunity to source practical advice which could have them on their way to building a successful business.
As well as the chance to chat to dedicated business advisors, there will be presentations on business planning, ideas generation, IT for businesses and marketing.
"Starting up on your own can be a pretty daunting prospect so we want to help make it as simple as possible,'' said Lorna Ritch, Business Gateway's operations manager in Dundee.
"Companies which make use of our services and support stand a better chance of surviving than those that don't so I would urge anyone considering starting up to come along and hear what we can offer. It doesn't cost anything and will be of immense value.''
