West Dunbartonshire to benefit from 195 new jobs, thanks to air purification and disinfection technology company, Innova Nanojet Technologies Ltd

Scottish Enterprise providing £1.5 million grant towards almost £9 million company investment

Vale of Leven, West Dunbartonshire is to benefit from 195 new jobs, thanks to new inward investor, Innova Nanojet Technologies Ltd, choosing to locate its first manufacturing facility in Scotland.

Innova Nanojet Technologies provides products based on ground-breaking NanoJet platform technologies, capable of spraying trillions of supersonic and nanosized droplets to eliminate airborne contaminants and viruses using only water, offering a quick, sustainable, and cost-effective solution.

The company was welcomed to Scotland by Scottish Enterprise’s Reuben Aitken during an event held at its new Vale of Leven facility. Scottish Enterprise has worked closely with Team Scotland partners, including West Dunbartonshire Council and Skills Development Scotland, to build a strong and long-term relationship with Innova Nanojet Technologies as it sets up in Scotland.

A package of support and funding from Scottish Enterprise has been created for the company, including a grant of £1.5 million as a contribution towards the company’s almost £9 million investment in its new Scottish operations.

Reuben Aitken, Scottish Enterprise managing director of International Operations, commented, “It’s fantastic to see a young, innovative company like Innova Nanojet Technologies invest almost £9 million in Scotland. Not only will this allow the business to scale quickly, it also means a significant number of new jobs created for local communities over the next few years.

“Companies like Innova Nanojet Technologies are great examples of Scotland’s continuing success at attracting inward investment, with EY’s Attractiveness Survey last week naming Scotland again as the number one UK location for Foreign Direct Investment projects outside of London.

“Alongside our partners, we’ll continue to promote the wealth of business benefits Scotland offers to international companies and investors.”

Event guests were given a guided tour of the state-of-the-art production lines and introduced to key members of Innova Nanojet Technologies staff.

Chairman and CEO of Innova NanoJet Technologies Ltd, Dr Charles Huang, said, “Thirty years after my graduation from the University of Strathclyde, I’m very thrilled to be back in Scotland to commence the production of our Innova NanoJet Technologies Ltd’s first commercialisation product that will revolutionise indoor air cleaning and disinfection which will benefit billions of people in the world. With Scottish Enterprise’s continued support, we look forward to developing and launching more innovative products and solutions for the world.”

The company’s technologies have applications across major industries, including personal and public health, agriculture, food, housing, commercial buildings, transportation, social infrastructure, power generation, national security, and public safety.

The first commercial application of the NanoJet technologies is the revolutionary Clean Air for Life CDa product series. These next-generation, filter-less air purification systems use ultra-fine droplet sprays to effectively and efficiently clean and disinfect indoor air. The series includes the CDa Pro (for business applications), CDa Model-H (for home use), and the robotic CDaBot (for large public indoor spaces).

These products are specifically designed to prevent aerosol transmission of viruses and remove airborne pollutants, setting new standards for air purification and viral safety. The CDa series has received prestigious awards, including the 2024 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) "Twice Pick" Award, and has been ranked the Number One of the "Best Air Purifier of 2024" by Techannouncer.

About Innova NanoJet Technologies Ltd. (INJT): INJT is an UK Scotland-based technology and product company integrating internally leading expertise in the domains of finance, R&D, product design, manufacturing and production technology, with clear focus on the development of ground-breaking NanoJet platform technologies-supersonic and ultra-fine nano-scale droplet spray technologies with large flow rates. The technologies and innovative products aim at enabling transformational changes and impacts on dozens of essential industries that represent major global economy and public sectors, such as medical and healthcare, low-emission transportation (automobiles and ships), clean social infrastructures, agriculture and food, housing and commercial building, national security and public safety, among others.

Experiments have shown that NanoJet technology can eliminate 99% of MS2 virus from the air using only water. MS2 is a virus with an equivalent size of influenza of about 20 nanometers.  MS2 which is more challenging to remove from the air than the COVID-19 virus with a size about 130 nanometers.  Innova NanoJet Technologies' success is based on its disruptive technology that encapsulates and neutralizes pollutants, viruses and bacteria through trillions of ultra-fine droplets. Unlike traditional sprays that repel pollutants, NanoJet droplets collide and encapsule harmful particles, effectively removing them from the air. This process not only purifies but disinfects the air and does not use any harmful chemicals.
