Further success as network passes 1,000 membership milestone

Craft Prospect Ltd (CPL) has announced it has secured significant investment from Capital for Colleagues plc (C4C), a company focused exclusively on advice, investment and support for employee-owned businesses. 

Scottish Enterprise has today, 31 August 2021, announced unprecedented support for businesses after investing over £568 million in Scotland’s economy in 2020/21.

• Filament STAC aims to jumpstart Scotland’s Internet of Things (IoT) sector headed by global industry leaders from tech powerhouses including Dyson, Wistron, BlackBerry and Plexus Corp
• 18-month scale-up programme will select 10 companies in each cohort and is positioned to create a world-class tech ecosystem in Scotland with key ingredients required for IoT companies to succeed
• 3-year targets for Filament STAC: more than 25 IoT companies supporting 750 jobs; total revenue of £750m; raising investment in excess of £100m
• Accelerator programme commences at Skypark in Glasgow in October, underpinned by industry-government partnership
• Filament STAC CEO Paul Wilson: “We have great talent here in Scotland which we export incredibly well to leading global tech companies. We evidently do less well in producing international Scottish tech companies of scale.  Filament STAC will address this by developing highly ambitious Scottish IoT companies that will be ready to go out and compete on the global stage.”
