£424m R&D investment and £750m revenue generated

The Scottish Investment Bank (SIB) has completed a follow-on investment of £300k into existing portfolio company Curo Compensation Ltd.

More than 70 jobs have been secured, and further roles created, at a Dumfries manufacturing plant, with a grant to support innovation. DuPont Teijin Films (DTF) will increase their manufacturing capabilities with the £967,955 Scottish Enterprise funding.

Following approval from Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs, the proposal for a Screen Unit within Creative Scotland, presenting a more collaborative inter-agency approach and clear leadership on public sector interventions and support for Scotland’s screen sector is published today by Creative Scotland.

Location announced for centre of excellence

A Stirling-based company is to benefit from one of the largest investments in Scottish engineering and manufacturing in recent years, doubling its capacity and creating new jobs on the site.

Industry body Subsea UK in partnership with Scottish Enterprise has today announced that it has opened an R&D funding call for innovation projects to drive forward research and development projects between Scotland and Japan that will help solve the industry’s most complex technological challenges.

UK eCommerce analytics company, E Fundamentals, is to invest in a new development hub in Edinburgh, which will be the London-based technology company’s second office. Scottish business owners, Duncan and Vicki McConchie from Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries & Galloway today (Thursday 30 November) officially opened their £1.9 million investment project, GG’s Yard, a ‘Rural Venue of Excellence’.
